Ganduje Tells Herders Banned in The South To Return To Kano.

Ganduje has expressed deep concern over the ban on open grazing by the 17 Southern governors, urging the herders affected by the ban to return to Kano. Ganduje said: “It is true that the oldest mood of cattle movement from one end to another, rather bread poverty and is no longer tenable. “However, the way and manner Fulani headers are been subjected to untold maltreatment and agony in the Southern part of this country, is not acceptable and this should change because they are equally Nigerians, who have rights of living anywhere”. Turkish President Seeks Nigeria's Support For Palestine (Nigerians React.)

President of  Turkey has told the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), that he expects Nigeria to show solidarity with Palestinians following the latest attacks by Israel on Jerusalem and Gaza. Erdogan made the call when he spoke with Buhari on the telephone on Thursday evening. The Turkish Presidency disclosed this in a message posted on its Twitter handle, @trpresidency. The Turkish President told Buhari that his country was trying to get the international community to teach Isreal, which he described as “unlawful, unjust and unscrupulous” a lesson. America Frowns at How Nigerian's Are Being Jailed Over Blasphemy.

The United States government has criticised how Nigerian courts have continued to sentence citizens to long jail terms for blasphemy and death. Antony Blinken who happens to be   Secretary of State  made this disclosure during the release of the 2020 International Religious Freedom Report this week. He questioned why the Nigerian government has not sentenced anyone for the “massacre” of members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria also known as Shiites. Quoting the report,  the Blinken said, “In Nigeria, courts continue to convict people of blasphemy, sentencing them to long-term imprisonment or even death. Yet the government has still not brought anyone to justice for the military’s massacre of hundreds of Shia Muslims in 2015.” He further said  that religious freedom is a human right and the freedom enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, adding that America would continue to defend freedom of faith globally. “Religious freedom, like every human right, is un
